Speak to a mortgage adviser and check affordability
The process starts with a chat… One of our mortgage experts will determine the amount of mortgage you could secure and work with you in establishing your monthly budget.
Mortgage in Principle
We’ll obtain a Mortgage Agreement in Principle for you. The mortgage provider will perform a credit check and afterwards can confirm the amount that they can potentially consider lending you.
Find a property solicitor
A property solicitor (conveyancer) plays an important part in your house-buying journey and we’d advise finding one early in the process so that you are ahead of the game when you find your forever home.
Time to house hunt!
Now for the fun part, it’s time to start scrolling through those property listings and book your viewings. Remember to pin down your list of non-negotiables ahead of time to make the process more efficient.
Make your offer
Once you’ve found the right property, you’ll need to get in touch with your solicitor to make a formal offer on your behalf. Your offer will be subject to receiving a mortgage offer.
Submit a mortgage application
Our team will recommend the best mortgage provider and deal based on your unique circumstances. With your input, they’ll complete the application on your behalf and work with the lender to ensure a successful conclusion is reached efficiently.
Your mortgage offer
Good news! Your mortgage offer has been issued! Timescales to mortgage offers are dependent on the mortgage provider. On average, it takes between 2-3 weeks.
Conclude your missives
Now for the legal part - it’s time to chat with your solicitor. They will advise on concluding your missives and when to transfer deposit funds to them. Your entry date to your new home will have been agreed.
Make sure your home is covered
You’ve put in the hard work to secure your new home - so it’s important to keep it protected. We will chat to you about and arrange buildings and contents insurance and other personal insurances - life, critical illness and income protection.
